Brennen Michael Loomis, 22, of Bainbridge, passed away unexpectedly Nov. 1, 2021 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus.
Brennen was born Feb. 8, 1999 in Wilmington to Erika Sluder and Matthew Loomis.
He graduated from Paint Valley High School, where he was a member of their ROTC program and played football until his junior year. He went on to work at the Chillicothe Correctional Institute for three years.
Brennen had a fiery and loving personality and was known for his efforts in making sure everyone around him was loved and taken care of before himself. He was an avid fisherman and loved riding four-wheelers. His favorite places were Copperas Mountain and Cave Run Lake, Ky. He loved spending time with friends and his family, enjoying that time around the bonfire, fishing, mudding and taking in the scenery.
Brennen was a foodie and when in Cincinnati could always be found at a local restaurant, enjoying many entrees. While he loved visiting the city, he was a country boy at heart, and he would tell you so. The powerful impact he had on everyone he came in contact with will never be forgotten.
His amazing life will forever be cherished by his parents, Erika (Sluder) and Robert Thery, Matthew and Maura (Harten) Loomis and Jason and Karen (Diehl) Conley; siblings, Kayleigh, Kara and Lucas Conley, Frankie, Reanna and Titus Thery and Natalie and Caleb Loomis; and grandparents, Dwight and Kathy (Lay) Sluder, Michael and Pamela (Thomas) Loomis, Tom and Annamarie (Becker) Harten and Harry and Louise (Echard) Conley. There are a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members and friends who all loved him and will miss him dearly.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 13 from noon to 3 p.m. at Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor Tom Zile saying a few words and prayers with a dinner afterward at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene in their Annex.
Flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to jedfoundation.org.
