Bonnie Smith, 79, of Blanchester, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at her home with family by her side.
She was born Feb. 16, 1944 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Henry and Lucille (Shaffer) Moore.
On July 1, 1960 in Hillsboro, she married Charles "Chuck" Smith, who passed away Feb. 27, 2021.
Bonnie was a member of member of the Daystar Church of God in Blanchester and Samantha Bible Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family.
Surviving are two sons, Henry (Vera) Smith of Lynchburg and Tom (Marie) Smith of Midland; daughter, Peggy (Jeff) Perkins of New Vienna; three grandchildren, Gabby Smith, Kimmy Smith and Laura Smith; five step-grandchildren, Chris Buescher, Heather Buescher, Justin Buescher, Anthony Buescher and Scottie Turner; 10 great-grandchildren, Airrean, Khlowie, Trevor, Braydon, Frederick, Carson, Rayden, Ezmae, Dominic and Draco; and three sisters, Janet, Mary and Beverly.
In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her son, Cecil Smith; grandson, Dusty Smith; brother, Harold Moore; and two sisters, Loraine and Margaret.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 1 p.m. at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 13 E. Main St., Hillsboro, with Pastor Casey Harness officiating. Interment will follow in the Westboro Cemetery in Westboro, Ohio.
Friends will be received Tuesday from noon until the time of the services at the funeral home.
