Billy Joe Taylor, 62, of Lynchburg, passed away Dec. 6, 2017 at his home.

He was born the son of the late Roy Hardesty and Mildred Joe (Taylor) Bailey in Dayton on Aug. 6, 1955.

Billy worked as an inventory clerk for Erwin Auger Bit and loved to go hunting, fishing and bowling.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Margaret Ellen (Duncan) Taylor of Lynchburg; daughter, April Taylor (Joe Houk) of Lynchburg; two grandchildren, Shaylah Bennett of New Vienna and Casey Houk of Lynchburg; five siblings, Eva Elliott of Hillsboro, Bob (Koneta) Bailey of Belfast, Tony (Carol) Bailey of New Vienna, Marsha Belmaggio (Rob Roberts) of Laura and Patricia Bogner of Dayton; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2017 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Funeral services will begin immediately following visitation at 6 p.m.
