Betty Louise Garrison, 93, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, March 26, 2021 at her daughter's home surrounded by her family in Cincinnati.

She was born Nov. 27, 1927 in Columbus, the daughter of the late Floyd Edward Rhoads and Cora Alberta Davis Rhoads Everetts.

She married the love of her life, Bill Garrison on Jan. 24, 1947. They loved working in the yard, gardening and spending time with their family.

Betty was a former employee at Murphy's Five and Dime Store in Hillsboro and was a member of the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. Betty dedicated her life to the Lord when she was 12. She enjoyed sharing scripture, and talking about her love for Jesus Christ with her family and good friend, Becky Davis.

Surviving are her daughter, Dee Ann (Barry) Rutenschroer; three grandchildren, Zak (Kelli) Rosselott, Taylor (Steven) Swafford and Haley Rutenschroer; four great-grandchildren, Bre, Lydia, Elsie Rosselott and Nora Rutenschroer; as well as two sisters, Evelyn Blair and Pauline Marsh.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Willard C. "Bill" Garrison; stepfather, Roy Everetts; sisters, Sharon Wilson and Patty Teeters; and great-grandson, Asher Swafford.

Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home in Hillsboro at noon Monday, April 5 with the Rev. Tom Zile officiating. Interment will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery, New Market. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 a.m.-noon Monday, April 5.
