Betty J. Caplinger, 82, of Pike County, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 at Piketon Nursing Center.
She was born in Arkoe, Ohio, the daughter of the late Jesse James and Eva (Mawk) Gorman.
Surviving are her son, Bill Caplinger of Highland County; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and John Dorfe of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Caplinger, who passed away Nov. 26, 2018; and six siblings, Tom, Junior, Carl, Dorothy, Lucille and Ruth.
Graveside services will be held at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery, Butler Road, Hillsboro, Monday, Dec. 10, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Dan Lamb officiating.
Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, is serving the family.
