Bethany Anne Butler, 46, of the Mowrystown community, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at the U.C. Medical Center in Cincinnati.
She was born Jan. 7, 1972 in Wilmington, the daughter of Keith Edward Leininger and Joyce Eyre Leininger.
Bethany was a member of the Mowrystown Church of Christ, where she has served as treasurer for over 15 years. She had been employed at NCB Bank in Hillsboro for 24 years as a senior underwriter and was a graduate of Whiteoak High School, class of 1990 and of Wilmington College in 1994.
Surviving are her husband, Matthew Butler, whom she married Sept. 10, 1994; three sons, Chase Butler, Connor Butler and Caden Butler; her mother and stepfather, Joyce and Kent Leininger; sister, Heather (Craig) Roberts; nephews, Tyler, Ryan and Eli Roberts; mother and father in-law, Jim and Barb Butler; brother and sister in-law, Barkley and Michelle Butler; and sister-in-law, Kimberly Morgan.
Bethany was preceded in death by her father, Keith Edward Leininger; and her grandparents, Harold and Carol Eyre and Edward and Mariana Leininger.
Private graveside services will be held at Mowrystown Cemetery at the convenience of the family. No visitation is scheduled.
A celebration of life service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018 at the Mowrystown Church of Christ Community Building with Pastor Chris Gobin officiating.
The Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, is serving the family.
