Barbara Jeanne “Babs” Conley, 84, of Chillicothe, died Friday, Jan. 22, 2016 at Westmoreland Place in Chillicothe.

She was born Dec. 7, 1931 in Chillicothe, the daughter of the late Gordon and Geneva McNeal Frederick.

Mrs. Conley had been an administrative assistant at BancOhio in Columbus for 25 years.

She was a graduate and the valedictorian of Central High School Class of 1949 in Columbus.

She is survived by her husband, David W. Conley Jr.; six children, Craig and Doug Conley of Chillicothe, Maureen (Jeff) Wood of Hillsboro, Keith Conley of Tennessee, Julie (Werner) Hallabrin of Cincinnati, and Kevin (Lindy) Conley of Dover; nine grandchildren, Tiffany (Brian) Massey, Dugan (Meghan) Wood, Krystle (Adam) Phillips, Keegan (Kassi) Hallabrin, Kyle Hallabrin, Kameron Hallabrin, Jason Conley, Mitchell Conley and Chelsey Steinbrook; two great-grandchildren, Vivien Kate Massey and Scarlett Monroe Wood; and two sisters, Sandra (Albert) Yannon and Sharon Solomon of Columbus.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 30 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Fr. Sean Dooley will be the celebrant.

Memorial contributions may be made to the National Church Residences, 681 E. 3rd Street, Waverly, Ohio 45690-1572.
