Austin James Prye

Austin James Prye, 18, of Lynchburg, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 8, 2024. 

He was born Nov. 9, 2005 in Georgetown. 

Austin was a gamer who loved his Xbox. He also enjoyed being outdoors. He liked skateboarding, riding four-wheelers and bikes, and throwing a football with brothers and cousins. 

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Christina and Glenn Bryant; brothers, Dakota Prye, Devin Prye and Andrew Prye; sister, Alexis Cook; grandpa, Charles Widmeyer aka Poppy; aunts and uncles, John and Amanda Widmeyer and Ginny Widmeyer; and many cousins. 

Austin was preceded in death by his father, Billy Prye; grandmother, Tena Widmeyer; and cousin, Keaton Chambers.
