Alice Loretta Ison, 81, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2017 at her home.
She was born on Aug. 22, 1935, the daughter of the late Homer and Catherine (Richards) Scott in Franklin.
Alice loved to sing karaoke, sew, knit and do crafts. She absolutely lived life to the fullest and was a great mother, grandmother and mother-in-law.
She is survived by three children, Loretta (Bill) Stanforth of Sabina, Janie (Jim) Burba of Hillsboro and JR (Connie) Ison of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Ronald Cheyenne Ison and Bruce Lee Ison; five siblings, Barb (Herb) Barker of Waynesville, Nancy (Roger) Hunt of Urbana, LeRoy (Gena) Scott of Hillsboro, John Scott of Bloomington and Tommy (Kathy) Scott of Midland; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ison; a grandson, Walter Timothy Elliott; three sisters, Shirley Lovely, Linda Florky and Betty Faulkner; a brother, Herb Scott; and a nephew, Johnny Scott.
Services will be 7 p.m. Monday, April 17 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
