Alan James Lehn, 87, of Hillsboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at his home.

He was born the son of the late Adam and Rose Emma (Schneider) Lehn on Feb. 28, 1931 in Rushville, Ind.

Alan was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, Ohio Society of Certified Public Accounts and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Heck) Lehn, whom he married Aug. 20, 1949; seven children, A. James (Susan E.) Lehn II, Judith A. (William R.) Taphorn, M. Rose Lehn, Joan A. (John S.) Peyton, William J. (Peggy A.) Lehn, Paul G. (Karen I.) Lehn and Joseph P. (Sandra J.) Lehn; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

A memorial mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, Sept. 14, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Hillsboro at 11 a.m. Father Mike Paraniuk will be the celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley, 215 Hughes Blvd, Mt. Orab, Ohio 45154. Turner & Son Funeral Home is serving the family.
