Ada (Hayes) Randolph, 99, of Lynchburg, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at The Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born the daughter of the late William Thomas and Mary (Marler) Hayes on Jan. 4, 1919 in Rockcastle County, Ky.
Ada lived her adult life in Cincinnati, where she attended Landmark Baptist Church. She moved to Highland County in 1984 and became a member of the Lynchburg United Methodist Church. Ada worked for National Distillers for 30 years, loved to garden, can vegetables and crochet and was very dedicated to her family.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Doris Randolph of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Annie (Kurt) King of Chillicothe and Chad (Amanda) Randolph of Lynchburg; and six great-grandchildren, Randy King, Emmy (Rhodes) Farrell, KJ King, Calvin King, Katy King and Kelsey King.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Randolph; son, William “Bill” Fred Randolph; four sisters; and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Lynchburg United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. at the church.
