The Southern Ohio Educational Service Center (SOESC) Business Advisory Council (BAC) was recently recognized at the 2025 Ohio Business Advisory Council Town Hall, held July 21 at the Hilton Columbus Easton.
Hosted by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce in partnership with the Ohio Association for Career and Technical Education (Ohio ACTE), the event celebrated top-performing BACs across the state during the 2025 All Ohio Conference.
For the third consecutive year, the Southern Ohio ESC BAC earned the prestigious 3-Star Business Advisory Council rating — an honor awarded by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce. This designation places the SOESC BAC in the top third of over 110 BACs statewide, acknowledging excellence in fostering partnerships between schools and the business community to prepare students for future careers.
The Southern Ohio ESC BAC brings together educators and business leaders across Clinton, Fayette, Highland and Adams counties to create real-world, work-based learning opportunities and guide students toward meaningful career paths. The Council’s work ensures that regional education strategies align with local economic needs and that students graduate with the skills employers value.
“We are incredibly proud that the Southern Ohio ESC's Business Advisory Council has once again earned recognition as a 3-Star BAC by the Ohio Department of Education & Workforce,” said Curt Bradshaw, Superintendent of Southern Ohio ESC. “This achievement reflects the dedication and strong partnerships between our schools, local businesses and employers, and community leaders who are committed to preparing students for success in the workforce.
“The Southern Ohio ESC would like to thank our BAC members across each county for their ongoing collaboration and support in building meaningful opportunities that connect classroom learning with career readiness. Together, we are building a stronger future for the communities throughout our region.”
