At approximately 2:34 a.m., a 911 call was received from Domino's Pizza, located at 132 West Main Street,  reporting that "intoxicated subjects" were assaulting Domino's employees.

"Several officers of the Hillsboro Police Department, Highland County Sheriff's Office and the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the area. The two subjects were apprehended while fleeing the scene," according to a release from the Highland County Sheriff's Office.

Thomas A. Barney Jr., 28, of Hillsboro, and Joshua L. Roberts, 30, of Hillsboro, were each arrested and charged with vandalism, a felony of the fifth degree; assault, a misdemeanor of the first degree; and criminal damaging, a misdemeanor of the second degree.

"A door at the Domino's Pizza building was damaged, as was a street light pole belonging to the city of Hillsboro. Barney attempted to damage a Highland County Sheriff's Cruiser," according to the release.

"When Dep. Ronnie Hughes attempted to intervene, he was assaulted by Thomas A. Barney Jr," the HPD alleged.

Additional charges are pending against Barney.

"A Hillsboro Police Officer deployed a taser to control the subject," according to the release.

According to the Hillsboro Police Department, at approximately 2:16 a.m. Sunday, while on patrol an HPD officer "observed a disturbance at the Ole Depot bar" located at 421 North West Street.

Upon investigation, it was determined Brittney Adams, age 22 of Wilmington,   had threatened a group of people with a knife. Adams had been barred from the property previously. She was charged with one count of aggravated menacing, a misdemeanor of the first degree, and criminal trespassing, a misdemeanor of the fourth degree."
