National Weather Service confirms at least 2 tornadoes touched down in area
As of Thursday, April 3 at 4:30 p.m., the National Weather Service has confirmed at least two tornadoes touched down locally during the overnight hours.
The National Weather Service confirmed Thursday at 10:39 a.m. that a tornado touched down in the Fayetteville area, including Brown, Highland and Clinton counties.
The EF0 tornado began in northern Brown County based on radar evidence of a tornadic debris signature.
At 3:19 p.m., the National Weather Service confirmed another tornado that first touched down in eastern Clinton County, just south of Sabina.
This EF0 tornado crossed into Fayette County, with radar evidence of a tornadic debris signature.
The National Weather Service is still assessing damage reports in these counties and will have more details at a later time.
