Four area banks are sponsoring the 2025 Festival of the Bells, set for July 10-12 at the Highland County Fairgrounds in Hillsboro.

Festival Committee President Tom Zile and Treasurer Jodi Murarescu recently accepted checks from longtime sponsors Merchants National Bank, NCB and First State Bank, as well as first-time sponsor Atomic Credit Union.

According to Committee Vice President Tiffany McCoy, Merchants National Bank is a Diamond Bell sponsor — the highest level — and contributed $5,000. Merchants will also be sponsoring the annual Pet Parade on Saturday, July 12.

NCB is a Platinum Bell level sponsor, donating $3,500.

First State Bank is also a Platinum Bell sponsor and contributed $3,000.

Atomic Credit Union, a first-year sponsor since being added to the community, donated $500, according to McCoy.

“We are so grateful for the continued support we receive from our local banks,” McCoy said. “Merchants, NCB and First State have donated for several years and have been our stage sponsors. This year, we changed sponsorship levels and they still came in at some of our highest sponsors.

“We want to express our gratitude for their support as we truly couldn't continue to offer this free festival without their help.”
