Legislative trade mission to Israel will encourage global investment in Ohio

Continuing a focus on job creation and Ohio’s economic recovery, State Representatives Cliff Rosenberger (R-Clarksville), John Adams (R-Sidney) and Peter Beck (R-Mason), along with State Senator Frank LaRose (R-Akron), will soon travel to Israel to speak with various company leaders and government officials to encourage investment in Ohio’s aerospace industry.
The delegation will depart for Tel Aviv on May 13 with a mission of attracting international businesses to Ohio and conveying the eagerness of Ohio’s leadership to work with these companies.
“Since the beginning of this General Assembly, the House Republicans have concentrated on creating jobs and revitalizing Ohio’s economy,” said Rep. Rosenberger. “We have never taken our eye off the ball in that regard. My district in particular has suffered tremendous job losses, so the success of this visit is especially important to me and the 86th District.”
“We want to send the message that Ohio is open for business, and we’ll go anywhere around the world to deliver that message if that’s what it takes to get our economy moving again,” said Sen. LaRose. “This trip offers a great opportunity for me to listen and learn, and I’m energized by the job growth it could generate.”
“I look forward to advocating Ohio’s potential to our associates overseas and bringing jobs back to our great state,” said Rep. Adams. “Ohio has been hemorrhaging jobs and businesses faster than we can find incentives to keep them here. Today is a new day for Ohio because we are finally being proactive about job creation and seeking out opportunities—not waiting for them to find us.”
“Our objective through this task in Israel is to bring Ohio into the highly competitive global economy,” Rep. Beck said. “We have a great opportunity to bring significant jobs to our state, and as a caucus, we certainly would not let this opportunity go to waste.”
