On April 20, the Hillsboro Police Department received a call of a theft from the Speedway on West Main Street. A man in a black Chevrolet Blazer pumped gas and drove off. A little while later, the same man returned in a black Ford Explorer, pumped gas and drove off. Total for both drive-offs is $110. This report remains under investigation.
At 7:59 a.m., the Hillsboro Police Department investigated a three-car accident on North High Street at Northview Drive. Suzanne Wilson of Hillsboro advised she was northbound on North High Street and had slowed down because another vehicle was exiting Northview Drive. The female driving that vehicle was talking on her cell phone and pulled out. Wilson had to stop to avoid colliding with her. Floyd Sexton of Kentucky, driving a freight liner, was unable to stop in time and hit the rear of Robert Smith's 2005 Kia and was pushed into Wilson's 1995 Ford Ranger. At the time of the accident, the lights were on flash, flashing red for Northview Drive and yellow for North High Street. No injuries were reported, and vehicles received moderate damage.[[In-content Ad]]
