Hillsboro Petland store to host grand opening celebration Dec. 5

The fun and the furry are coming to Hillsboro to celebrate the grand opening of a new format Petland store. The store, located on Harry Sauner Road, across from Wal-mart, will open Saturday, December 5 at 10 a.m.
The store is the first location for the new format, which is smaller than a traditional Petland and offers grooming services. Customers will experience many of the same features as in a traditional Petland, including the pets! The Hillsboro location will carry small birds, reptiles, fish, ferrets and small animals.
“We recognized that we could better meet the needs of all of our customers with offering a smaller store with a heavier focus on consumables and services. We are thrilled to offer this new format to our customers and we’ve been welcomed with open arms in the Hillsboro community during our soft opening.”
The pet counseling team at Petland in Hilliard will kick off the day with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9:45 a.m. Saturday, December 5, in front of the Petland store. The store’s first 50 customers will receive free Petland T-shirts, with additional door prizes given away throughout the day.
ClubPetTM memberships also will be given to customers during the store's grand opening. ClubPet offers members special sale events and substantial savings throughout the store year-round. Safari Stan, Petland’s #1 pet counselor, will be on hand to greet pet lovers of all ages.
The regular store hours will be Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 9 p.m., and Sunday, 12 – 6 p.m.

People from Hillsboro often come to Chillicothe to purchase their pets, but they don’t want to make the drive for their weekly pet food or litter purchases.
