The Highland County Antique Machinery Club celebrated the 41st Annual Antique Machinery Show, June 27-29 at the Highland County Fairgrounds. The event welcomed approximately 800 attendees over the course of the weekend and featured a display of 136 tractors, 60 garden tractors, and 13 antique engines.
Rooted in tradition, the show offered a full schedule of family-friendly activities, machinery exhibits, and hands-on demonstrations celebrating the history and future of rural farm life.
Friday featured opening ceremonies, tractor games, tractor parade, and an evening of grocery bingo. On Saturday, the grounds were filled with activity, including the kiddie tractor pull, garden tractor games, a plowing demonstration, and live music from Timberlane Express.
The afternoon’s tractor parade drew a crowd, showcasing a wide range of restored and working tractors, each with a story to tell.
Sunday wrapped up the weekend with a gospel performance, the 2nd Annual Eldon Donohoe Memorial Tractor Poker Run, and a final tractor parade – heartfelt and close to three days of shared memories, celebration and community pride.
A major highlight of the weekend was the Tetanus Shop Tractor Giveaway, where an antique Farmall tractor was fixed to be running again and gave one lucky youth a chance at a tractor restoration project. With 55 entries in their coloring and question contest, the project emphasized the importance of keeping agricultural traditions alive while engaging with the next generation. The Tetanus Shop team, known for restoring antique machinery and sharing their work online, also uses their platform to promote faith and youth involvement in the antique machinery community.
The Highland County Antique Machinery Club extends thanks to all attendees, volunteers, exhibitors, and families who helped make this year’s event a continued success.
