Greenfield council schedules meeting to discuss conversion to village status

A special meeting has been called by the Greenfield City Council for the purpose of addressing questions regarding the conversion from city status, to a village.
According to the announcement sent out by the city, the council session has been called, "collectively with law director and employees, to address questions and provide direction concerning the conversion of government from city to village status and also to address questions pertaining to the demolition of the Mausoleum. No format for public participation will be scheduled."
The meeting will be held Tuesday, June 7 at 3 p.m. at the Paint Creek Joint EMS/Fire Station, which is located in the old life squad building on Washington Street.
Additionally, council has scheduled and ordinance committee meeting for 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 10 in the council chambers of City Hall to discuss regulating trash collection with one hauler and payment made through water and sewer utility bill and to discuss sidewalk regulations.
Council's finance committee will meet on Thursday, May 12 at 10 a.m. This meeting will be held in the third floor conference room of City Hall to discuss regular business meeting/review of monthly financial reports and documents.
