Good Samaritan killed while trying to stop criminal activity

Richard Levo, the nephew of Paul Levo of Hillsboro, was killed in Florida while attempting to stop to suspects from breaking into parked cars at his Pinellas Park apartment.
Levo, 58, was beaten and stabbed by two suspects he had confronted, www.baynews9.com reported Oct. 7.
Pinellas Park Police say Levo was on his second floor balcony at the Whetstone apartments, when he witnessed two people breaking into a car.
Levo went down to the parking lot and confronted them, which is when police said he was beaten and stabbed, according to the television station.
Police were on scene around a minute after receiving the call for help. 
They found Levo alive, but he died at the hospital a few hours later.

The suspects, Tiffany Mitchell and Aaron Cook, were arrested in Pasco County, Fla., and charged with murder. They were denied bond in court on Saturday.
  Cook faces other charges, including a being felon in possession of a firearm and bullets.
A memorial service was scheduled for Monday, Oct. 11 for Levo.
