The Lynchburg Area Joint Fire and Ambulance District reported Friday they will honor the life of Robert Hall - a firefighter who died Monday after suffering cardiac arrest during a drill at the fire station - on Saturday. Any fire department wishing to pay their respects and participate in memorial services is welcome.
According to the department, Hall was a 4-year member of the department and had been a member of North Union Fire Department (currently Union Township Fire Department in Clermont County). He was at the fire house for the Monday evening drill. The schedule for that evening was apparatus checks. He became unresponsive and the members of the department began treating him. He was transported to Highland District Hospital, where he went into cardiac arrest and was unable to be resuscitated.
The funeral arrangements are as follows:
Apparatus line up on Saturday, Oct. 2, 2010 starting at 10 a.m. at
Moore's Funeral Home at 225 Spring Street, Batavia.
The procession will travel from Moore's Funeral Home to Ambassador
Freewill Baptist Church located at 776 Clough Pike in Union Township,
Clermont County.
Visitation will be held at Ambassador Freewill Baptist Church starting at noon immediately followed by the memorial services.
Any fire department that would like to take part in the procession
with fire apparatus is asked to RSVP with Scott Miller at (937) 403-3121.
