The 10th annual Highland County Farm Tour took place Sept. 14 in the Pricetown area.

The farm tour was a result of a collaborative effort between Highland County Farm Bureau and Highland Soil and Water Conservation District. The event was a great success, with around 100 people in attendance.

The tour featured diverse agricultural locations in Highland County. The first tour stop was Pearl’s Corner Farm, featuring a competition sheepdog trial demonstration led by Beth Murray and her 2023 national championship-qualifying Border Collies.

The second stop featured Save A Warrior®, which offered a unique up-close look at the amazing program and a tour of their National Center of Excellence.

The final tour stop featured Bear Mechanical, highlighting the background of the Historical Facility and including a tour of the state-of-the-art Machining Center.

In addition to touring these amazing locations, participants also enjoyed a delicious catered lunch provided by the Highland County Farm Bureau that was prepared by Maplecrest Meats and More and served by Lynchburg-Clay FFA members.

The Highland County Farm Bureau and Highland Soil and Water Conservation District would like to thank Rural King of Hillsboro for providing bottled water for the tour and everyone that helped to make the 10th annual Highland County Farm Tour a success.
