Opening Night, the annual talent showcase for McClain High School, will be presented on Saturday, Oct. 14 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the McClain auditorium.
The theme of this year's show is "The Magic of Movies and Broadway."
The show will feature the show, symphonic, and concert choirs as well as several individual acts. This production serves as a fundraiser for the choral department. It provides an opportunity for many students to perform on stage while being supported by the community and peers.
The cost of admission is $5.
The next production for this school year will be the presentation of the fall play, "Humbug High: A Contemporary Christmas Carol." With a cast of 45 students, it tells the story of Scrooge, but takes place in a high school setting. It promises to be very entertaining. It will definitely put you in the Christmas spirit.
"We hope to see you at both these productions," said Director Loretta Flora. "Thank you for your continued support of the choral and drama departments at McClain High School."
