Marvin Malott

Marvin Malott, 73, of Buford, passed away Saturday, May 6, 2023 at the Hospice of Hope Inpatient Center in Seaman. 

He was born Oct. 11, 1949 in Mt. Orab, the son of the late Carl and Cora (Balser) Malott. 

He retired after a career in auto sales spanning 30 years.  Following his retirement, he spent most of his time in the home where he and Pat raised their children and welcomed their grandchildren.

Marv is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia (Roades) Malott, whom he married Sept. 18, 1976; two children, Matthew (Valerie) Malott of Milford and Kara (Bill) Williams of Sardinia; 12 grandchildren, Julia Malott, Emma Setty, John Malott, Ty (Allisha) Setty, Lizzy (Kaleb Heinz) Malott, Connor (Amara Zembrodt) Malott, Drew Malott, Cate Malott, A.J. Malott, Aaron Williams, Emily (Dylan) Monnette and Olivia (Kenzie) Workman; two great-granddaughters, Azalia Workman and Bonnie Williams; a sister, Connie Malott of Mt. Orab; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Malott and Pam McCarty, both of Mt. Orab; several beloved nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by five siblings, Frieda Glover, Mildred Havens, Kate Turner, Edwin Malott and Elburn Malott. 

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation.
