Marilyn Sue Woodland

Marilyn Sue Woodland, 83, of Springfield, passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Kettering Health Dayton, formerly Grandview Medical Center.
 
She was born Sept. 28, 1939, in Greenfield, the daughter of Berlye and Kathryn (Kersey) Cameron.
 
Sue was an avid traveler; enjoyed gardening, cooking and baking; and played the dulcimer and was a member of the Springfield Dulcimer Club. She was a member of Springfield First Christian Church and former member of the Greenfield Church of Christ.
 
She was a 1957 graduate of Edward Lee McClain High School and enjoyed continued fellowship with her McClain classmates.
 
She was retired from Woeber Mustard Company and was a former employee of Capital Dry Cleaners, both of Springfield.
 
She is survived by two nieces, Debbie (Rick) Furber of Louisville, Ky. and Susan (Jim) Kime of Toledo; one nephew, Eddie Hartley of Xenia; and her cousin, Joretta Hunter (Pat McNaughton) of Columbus. Sue will always be remembered for her kind personality and dedication to her friends and family.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald G. Woodland, on Jan. 26, 2020; one sister, Mary Ellen Hartley; both parents; and her beloved Yorkie, “Korkie.”  
 
Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 27 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery.
 
Visitation will be Tuesday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
 
The family would like to thank the caring staff at Clark Memorial Home, Kettering Health and Vitas Hospice.
