Marilyn L. McAfee

Marilyn L. McAfee, 92, of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, June 18, 2023 at The Laurels of Hillsboro. 
 
She was born Dec. 21, 1930 in Troy, the fourth child of the late Charles Hirsch and Anna E. Ford Hirsch. Her father was a farmer and a WWI veteran; her mother a homemaker.

In June of 1950, she married Carl McAfee, who preceded her in death, along with one sister and two brothers.

Marilyn was a farm wife and worked many years as a dental assistant. She attended the Ervin Road Baptist Church and sang in several gospel groups over the years.
 
Surviving are two sons, Mike and Dave McAfee, both of the Sugartree Ridge community.
 
Due to her and her family’s wishes, there will be no funeral services or visitation. Private burial will take place in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery at a later date. The Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home is assisting the family.
