Lester Gordon “Pap” Mustard
Lester Gordon “Pap” Mustard, 96, of Bainbridge, passed away peacefully Friday, June 30, 2023 at home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1926, in Pike County, the son of the late Gordon and Sally McBee Mustard.
Lester was a timber worker and farmer by trade. He loved working with his cattle and on the farm, as well as telling stories to family and friends.
Lester is survived by one son, Perry Mustard, and his wife Donna; three grandchildren, Sheila Wolfe, Brian Mustard (Erin) and Sherry May Hall (Tom) all from Bainbridge; 11 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Blake, Branson, Breanna, Trevor, Dylan, Caleb, Kaylee, Jade, Kala and Grace; eight great-great-grandchildren, Addyson, Madison, Maycee, Brilea, Bennett Walker, Raedon, Oakley and Copelin Wyatt; one niece, Lavera Francis; and a nephew, Larry Martin.
In addition to his parents, he also was preceded in death by one brother, Given Mustard; and two sisters, Narda Campbell and Editha Martin.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday, July 7 at the Smith-Moore-Ebright Funeral Home of Bainbridge with the Rev. Charles Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardner Cemetery.
