Larry Loverne Peck

Larry Loverne Peck, 76, of New Vienna, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born May 27, 1947 in Prattsville, the son of the late Loverne Peck and Mary Maxine (Almun) Morris.

Larry proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, and he was a member of the Wilmington American Legion Post 49. He was part of the Tower of Strength Church family. Larry was a jack of all trades, and he enjoyed mowing the rough at Snow Hill Country Club for over 20 years. He also enjoyed playing his guitar in the Country Feelings Band and the Rebound Band. He will be greatly missed.

Larry is survived by his wife of 48 years, Suzanna Jo (Watson) Peck, whom he married Dec. 8, 1974; two children, Nathaniel Guy (Annie Wisecup) Peck and Amber Dawn (Jeffery) Peck Walters; four grandchildren, Bryce Wisecup, Halona Justice Wisecup, Luke Anthony Walters and Mya Elaine Walters; and two great grandchildren, Diamond Grace and Kingston Grace.

Gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, July 22, 2023 from 10 a.m. until noon at the Tower of Strength Church, 4289 Line Rd., New Vienna 45159. Celebration of Larry’s life will take place Saturday July 22 at noon at the Tower of Strength Church. Military honors, presented by the Highland County Veterans Honor Guard, will follow services on Saturday. Burial will be held Thursday, July 27, 2023  in the Dayton National Cemetery. The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory is serving the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Larry’s name to the Tower of Strength Church, 4289 Line Rd., New Vienna, Ohio 45159.
