Lady Mustangs defeat Minford for non-conference win

For their fourth game of the 2023 season, the Lynchburg-Clay Lady Mustangs went on the road for a non-conference game and defeated the host Minford Lady Falcons by a 3-1 score on Saturday, Aug. 19.

LCHS — who improved to 3-0-1 overall — had two goals scored by senior Jade Massey and one goal by senior Autumn Wilkin.

Assists went to Massey, Jayden Maxfield and Aubrey Slack. In all, the Lady Mustangs took 20 shots.

LCHS sophomore keeper Caitlyn Collins finished with three saves in the win.

Next for the Lady Mustangs is an away game on Wednesday, Aug. 23 at West Union for their first Southern Hills Athletic Conference game of the '23 season.
