Lady Indians drop tennis contest to Unioto

The Hillsboro Lady Indians hosted the Unioto Lady Shermans Wednesday evening in a non-conference tennis contest at HHS and were unable to gain the win, as UHS won the match with a team score of 4-1.

Hillsboro’s lone win came in second doubles with Natalie Tharp and Adalyn Gaines winning with scores of 6-3, 6-4.

In the singles events, Scarlett Studebaker won the first set at 6-3, but lost the next two and the match at 6-7, 1-6 in first singles.

The second singles match saw Aly Johnson fall by scores of 3-6, 4-6, while in third singles Jenna Hart lost the first set at 5-7, won the second set at 7-6 and lost set three at 0-6.

In first doubles, Kallie Sharp and Keyle Johnson fell by scores of 3-6, 5-7.
