Julie Marie Mercer

Julie Marie Mercer, 59, of Washington C.H., formerly of Hillsboro, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2023.

She was born Oct. 16, 1963  in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Richard and Martha (Rhoads) Gall.

Julie was a 1982 graduate of Hillsboro High School, where she was a member of the softball team. Julie worked for PRI Manufacturing in New Vienna. She loved hunting, fishing and her fur babies. She got a lot of enjoyment out of bugging her niece, Heidi.

Julie is survived by her brothers, Gary Gall and Mike Gall of Hillsboro; sister, Judy (Ralph) Thomas of Washington C.H.; nieces, Heidi Gall of Washington C.H. and Tina (Carl) Unger of Hillsboro; nephews, Tony Gall and Mike Gall Jr. of Hillsboro and Nathan Thomas of Washington State; six great-nieces and great-nephews, Aubrey Manning, Braydon Manning, Gabrielle Unger, Tyler Unger, Kayden Gall and Quenton Gall; special aunt, Flossie Gall; special friends, Cooklie Coil and Martha Fetter; fur baby, Tiger; several cousins, aunts and uncles; and a host of friends.

Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Debbie Gall; and her fur baby, Molly.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023 at 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Pastor Greg Roberts will officiate, with burial following at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call Thursday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
