John R. Brown

John R. Brown, 78, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Sept. 2, 2023 at home.
 
He was born Dec. 23, 1944 in Greenfield, the son of Paul and Mildred (Cherryholmes) Daugherty.
 
John was a member of the Greenfield Tractor Club and farmed for Jim Arnott. He retired from Buck’s Tire in Greenfield.
 
He is survived by four sisters, Karen “Kay” Hatfield of Greenfield, Linda (Charles) Crothers of Greenfield, Debbie Medley of Washington C.H. and Margo Daugherty of Greenfield; three brothers, Lawrence Daugherty of Bainbridge, Jerry (Linda) Daugherty of Greenfield and Darren (Erica) Daugherty of Hillsboro; numerous nieces and nephews; and close friends, Jim Arnott of Greenfield and Linda Mongold of Washington C.H.
 
He was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Brown, on Aug. 21, 1997; and both parents.
 
Funeral service will be Thursday, Sept. 7 at 1 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
