President Biden has been in office for nearly two years. Let’s assess just a small portion of what has happened on his and his predecessor’s watch.
Right out of the gate, President Biden canceled the XL Pipeline.
His natural resource permitting policies turned the United States from being a net energy exporter to an energy importer. During Biden’s Administration, the Strategic Petroleum Reserve has been drawn down from approximately 650 million barrels to less than 400 million barrels. This was solely done to mitigate the rising prices caused by Biden domestic drilling policies.
The green energy movement, with full Biden Administration backing, is heading down a disastrous path. We cannot develop the green energy technology fast enough nor deploy it quickly enough to meet the goals. It will end up being a permanent government subsidy drain, much like Amtrak. No one has conclusively proved it is necessary other than as a means to control the population.
Then, there was the disastrous escape from Afghanistan which is still playing out in the lives of people we conveniently forgot.
Did that bring peace? No. Within 6 to 8 months, we became involved in a proxy war in Ukraine (and continuing).
The National Debt stood at $27.7 trillion on the debt on the day Joe Biden took office. It is now over $31 trillion and rising. (Shame on all the presidents this century; it stood at less than $6 trillion when George W. Bush took office).
Biden’s national debt growth is running about twice the growth rate during President Trump’s term.
Notable Biden spending bills:
• $1.9 trillion – March 2021;
• $1.2 trillion – November 2021;
• $740 billion – August 2022; and
• $1.7 trillion – December 2022.
I may have missed one, these are coming so fast and furiously. However, this group adds up to a gargantuan $5.5 trillion. This is the primary source of today’s inflation and massive increases in the national debt.
The Federal Reserve under Biden is crushing investment, slowing the housing industry and bringing the stock market to its knees.
Biden stopped building the border wall. More than 5 million people have been caught trying to cross the southern border since Biden took office.
The U.S. murder rate for 2020 (latest available, on Trump’s watch) increased 28.64% from the year before.
The “Woke” movement is being allowed to trample on citizens' rights from religion to what pronouns I may call you. Forget what you learned in grammar in elementary school or what, until recently, was prescribed in world renowned dictionaries.
The FBI had an 80-person task force censoring Twitter alone, let alone the other social media networks.
I don’t know what it looks like to you, but it looks to me like a country coming apart at the seams, either through ignorance or maliciously deliberately, your choice.
