Indians soccer moves to 2-0 overall

Wednesday was a winning day for the Hillsboro Indians boys soccer teams, as they gained a non-conference victory over the host Logan Elm Braves, 3-0.

HHS led 1-0 at halftime and scored two more goals in the second half.

Hillsboro’s goals were scored by sophomore Ryan Howland, junior Wesley Bailey and senior Carson Scott.

HHS junior Tate Davis collected two assists, and junior Austin Bledsoe had one assist.

The Indians took a total of 27 shots in the win.

Keeper Ryan Fender — a junior — totaled eight saves for Hillsboro in the shutout win.

The Indians are 2-0 overall this season.

Next for the Indians is a home non-conference game on Monday, Aug. 28 at 6:45 p.m. against the Eastern Warriors of the Southern Hills Athletic Conference.
