Hillsboro volleyball drops match in 3 sets

The Hillsboro Lady Indians lost a home non-conference volleyball match Monday evening (Aug. 28) in three straight sets to the Wilmington Lady Hurricane.
HHS lost by scores of 25-22, 25-20 and 26-24.
Wilmington was led in kills by Lisbon Smith with 12,. They were led in aces by Layla Reynolds and Smith with one each and in blocks by Miya Nance with four.
Also for WHS, Reynolds led with 27 digs, and the assists leader was Aidynne Tippett with 31.
The loss drops Hillsboro to 2-2 overall. Wilmington moves to 4-1 overall.
Hillsboro stats were not provided for the game.
Next for HHS is a home FAC match on Tuesday, Aug. 29 against the Washington Lady Blue Lions.
