BOYS GOLF: Indians place 3rd in tri-match
The Hillsboro boys golf played a tri-match on Thursday, Aug. 17 at Buckeye Hills, where they placed third.
Miami Trace won the event with a score of 176, followed by Fairfield at 185 and Hillsboro at 192.
Individual scores for Hillsboro included: Tate Davis 44, Logan Zurface 48, Connor Kelch 50, Jase Huffman 50, Walker Pence 51 and Logan Barton 55.

GIRLS TENNIS: Hillsboro sweeps Jackson
The Hillsboro girls tennis team defeated the Jackson Ironladies on Thursday, Aug. 17 at HHS.
In first singles, Scarlett Studebaker won with scores of 6-2, 6-0. Second singles saw Aly Johnson win by scores of 7-5, 6-1.
For third singles, Jenna Hart won by scores of 6-1, 6-0.
Doubles action saw Kallie Sharp and Keyle Johnson win first doubles at 6-1, 6-0. In second doubles, the team of Natalie Tharp and Adalyn Gaines had winning scores of 6-0, 6-0.

GIRLS GOLF: HHS 4th at Chillicothe
On Thursday, Aug. 17, the Hillsboro girls golf team played at the Chillicothe Country Club, where they were fourth place overall.
Individual scores for Hillsboro included: Emma Yochum 56, Addy Knauff 67, Grace Watson 69, Rylea Scarberry 69, Reagan Leeth 71 and Halle Jones 72.

BOYS GOLF: Indians 2nd in four-team match
Tuesday (Aug. 15) saw the Hillsboro Indians place second in a four-team golf match.
Lynchburg-Clay won the event with a score of 183, followed by Hillsboro at 185.
McClain was third place at 224, and in fourth was East Clinton at 233.
Walker Pence led Hillsboro with a score of 42.

BOYS GOLF: Indians 2nd at Hillsboro Elks
The Hillsboro Indians boys golf team placed second in a three-team event on Tuesday, Aug. 15 at the Hillsboro Elks.
West Union won with a team score of 187, while Hillsboro was second at 193 and the Fairfield Lions scored a 202.
Connor Kelch led the Indians with a score of 46.

GIRLS TENNIS: Lady Indians fall to Chillicothe in FAC match
The Hillsboro Lady Indians tennis team recently faced Chillicothe in a Frontier Athletic Conference match, falling to their conference foe, 3-2.
In first singles, Scarlett Studebaker lost by scores of 0-6, 0-6. In second singles, Aly Johnson fell by scores of 2-6, 2-6.
In third singles, Jenna Hart lost by scores of 5-7, 2-6.
Hillsboro doubles earned two wins, with the first doubles team of Kallie Sharp and Keyle Johnson winning with scores of 7-5, 3-6, 6-2. In second doubles, Willow Becker and Adalyn Gaines won with scores of 4-6, 6-1 and 10-2 tiebreaker.
