Hillsboro girls soccer wins by 5 goals in shutout against Washington

The Hillsboro Lady Indians soccer team earned their first win of the 2023 season and did so in Frontier Athletic Conference action Tuesday, as they won against the visiting Washington Lady Blue Lions by a 5-0 score.

HHS (1-2) had two goals from Rylie Scott, with both goals assisted by Peighton Bledsoe.

Before those two goals, HHS had a goal by Aubrey Burton, which was assisted by Scott.

The Lady Indians also had an unassisted goal from Liz Sowders and a goal from Taylor Thoroman, which was assisted by Kobie Miles.

The win improves HHS to 1-2 overall this season.

HHS is scheduled to play again Thursday, Aug. 31 on the road against the Jackson Ironladies at 5 p.m.
