Hillsboro FFA conducts summer meeting

On July 20, the Hillsboro FFA chapter kicked off the first meeting of the 2023-24 year. The meeting took place at the Holland family’s house and was held by the newly elected officers, as most of them ran one for the first time.
There were 36 members present, including current members and the incoming freshmen. It consisted of lots of information pertaining to upcoming events held within the chapter such as community service and also new information related to the Highland County Fair as it approaches quickly.
When the meeting came to a close, everyone dispersed to play a variety of games including Wiffle ball, volleyball, line dancing and more. Along with the games, members enjoyed swimming in the pool and going down the Slip N’ Slide. The members had a blast meeting new friends within the chapter as well as getting to hang out with the friends they already knew.
Hillsboro FFA will all come back together when school returns on Aug. 16.
