The Highland County Veterans Services is hosting an open-to-the-public Jeep Cruise-In fundraiser on Sunday, Sept. 17 at the Liberty Park Veterans Memorial in Hillsboro.
Join Highland County Veterans Services and DAV Lloyd C Ludwick Chapter 123 to help raise funds for replacing damaged statues, fencing and other items, along with helping aid the City of Hillsboro to provide security cameras specifically for this memorial.
Highland County Veterans Services usually hosts events exclusively for our veterans, but in light of recent events that occurred at the Liberty Park Veterans Memorial in Hillsboro, this event is being hosted and is open to the public.
A $10 entry fee only applies for Jeeps that would like to take part in the judging classes, and also vendors that might like to set up. There is no charge for the general public to attend.
This Jeep Cruise-In Fundraiser will be a rain or shine event. If you cannot attend that day but would like to make a donation toward it, monetary contributions can be mailed to: DAV Chapter 123, Attn: Liberty Park Veterans Memorial, PO Box 846, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
Veterans, be sure to have your proof of service (VA Health Card, Veterans ID card, Veteran-Labeled Driver’s License, etc.) with you if you attend this event in any capacity, as there will be some special swag just for you.
If you are a vendor that would like to set up for this event, again, it’s only a $10 donation to do so. Interested vendors should text (937) 763-8164 before Sept. 8 for full details.
If anyone has any questions regarding this event, please call Stephanie Roland at the Highland County Veterans Services office at (937) 393-8686 or follow the event at https://www.facebook.com/events/1474397109982372l
