Highland County Historical Society hosting scavenger hunt July 29

Do you like a challenge? The Highland County Historical Society is offering a great one with an online scavenger hunt planned for Saturday, July 29 from 1-3 p.m.

The cost is $20 to register a team of no more than three people. Register at Highland House, 151 East Main St., Hillsboro from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. the day of the event.

Clues to 12 places in uptown Hillsboro will be sent by text message to your phone. When you locate the clue, take a selfie of yourself with that clue and text it to the given number.

The first entry to text all clues back correctly will win. Prizes will also be awarded to second and third places. Meet back at Highland House by 3:30 p.m. to find out the winners, and watch the Historical Society’s Facebook for photos of the fantastic prizes.
