Aaron Bailey and Scott Pointer of Time Warner Cable assisted local volunteers Mark and Alice Wilson, Tom and Maggi Horst, and Karen Cundiff with the placing of Christmas wreaths and new holiday banners in Hillsboro's historic uptown business district on a frosty Sunday morning.

"We couldn't do this without Time Warner's help," Maggi Horst said. "We really appreciate them. Also, Alice Wilson and Karen Cundiff are the driving forces behind the decorations uptown and around the courthouse."

For many years, the Hillsboro Lions Club had also assisted with the annual placing of the wreaths.

More recently, Horst coordinates the placing of the wreaths with Dale Zornes of Time Warner Cable in Hillsboro. Time Warner also assists in taking down the wreaths in early January, she said.

The Sunday morning temperature was approximately 18 degrees – with a brisk wind – while the work was being completed this holiday season.
