UPDATED: Lebanon Post investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash in Lebanon
LEBANON – The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash. The crash occurred on July 29, at approximately 1:40 p.m., at the intersection of E. Main Street and S. High Street in Lebanon.
The preliminary investigation revealed a 2020 Nissan Rogue, operated by Jennifer Watson, 68, Lebanon, was traveling south on S. High Street. A 2024 Peterbilt 579 tractor-trailer combination, operated by Victor Espinoza Palacios, 36, Gresham, S.C., was traveling west on E. Main Street through the intersection. The Nissan failed to yield at the stop sign at the intersection and struck the trailer of the Peterbilt.
Watson was initially transported by ground ambulance to Atrium Medical Center with serious life-threatening injuries. She was then transported by air ambulance to Miami Valley Hospital for further treatment. On July 30, Watson succumbed to fatal injuries from the crash.
Espinoza Palacios was not injured from the crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Lebanon Post.
The Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Lebanon Police Department, Lebanon Fire Department & EMS, and Barnes Towing.
