Todd Wilkin sworn in as Greenfield city manager

Todd Wilkin was sworn in as the new city manager in Greenfield Friday, April 13 by Highland County Court Madison Township Judge Robert Judkins.
Greenfield Village Council voted Wednesday, April 4 to enter into an employment agreement with Wilkin, who previously served as Hillsboro's safety and service director.
Council had appointed Wilkin as city manager March 19, ahead of Ron Coffey’s retirement on March 31. On April 4, council voted 5-0 to approve an emergency resolution to execute an employment agreement with Wilkin.
“I want to express my gratitude and appreciation toward each of the council members for their unanimous support in selecting me to be the next city manager of Greenfield,” Wilkin told The Highland County Press. “My family and I are very excited and honored to have been chosen for this remarkable opportunity.
“I am thrilled to follow Mr. Ron Coffey and Ms. Betty Bishop as the next city manager, and I am eager to serve Greenfield and become a part of its unique history and traditions.”
Wilkin begins as city manager on April 16.
Wilkin and his wife, Bethanie, have four children and live in the Lynchburg area.
“I look forward to meeting the employees, business leaders and most importantly, the citizens of Greenfield in order to work together for continual improvement within this beautiful community,” Wilkin said. “Thank you again for this opportunity.”
