Terry Fouch serves as Greene Countrie Towne Festival grand marshal

Led by Greenfield City Manager Ron Coffey and Greenfield Police Chief Tim Hester, the 2013 Greene Countrie Towne Festival cruised down Jefferson Street on a partly sunny, 83-degree Sunday afternoon, as hundreds of area residents lined the uptown streets.

Retiring Greenfield Exempted Village Schools Superintendent Terry Fouch served as this year's parade grand marshal, and rode the parade route with his wife, Kristina, and their granddaughter.

The 2013 Greene Countrie Towne Festival queen, Grace Orr, and her court followed in the parade down Jefferson Street, as did the 2012 festival queen, Roni Casebolt, and her court.

Madalyn Ross represented the Hillsboro Uptown Business Association as the Snowflake Sweetheart in the parade.

Sponsored by the Greenfield Rotary Club, proceeds from the annual Greene Countrie Towne Festival help local organizations to operate for the good of the community.

Jay Martin “Pokey” Post provided the professional sound system for the festival.

WVNU General Manager Pat Hays served as the emcee for the parade.

During the parade lineup of antique tractors, Hays asked for a moment of respect for longtime Greenfield Antique Tractor and Machinery Club member David Winegar, who passed away earlier this year.

Club members left a space between tractors in the parade route where Mr. Winegar's tractor would have been.

The annual festival is held each summer during the third weekend of July.
