S.R. 131 Culvert Replacement Postponed; S.R. 138 Closure Scheduled

Chillicothe – A culvert replacement project on state Route 131 in Highland County has been postponed; however, a separate project on S.R. 138 has been scheduled, and the route will be closed for up to one week.

Due to the delivery of materials and equipment matters, this week’s project on Highland-131 to replace a deteriorated culvert at the route’s 0.68-mile marker, just east of the Highland-Brown County line, has been postponed, and it is now rescheduled for the week of August 27.

S.R. 138, however, is scheduled to be closed the week of August 13 while crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County maintenance facility replace a pipe at the route’s 30.28-mile marker. The project site is located approximately two miles south of Greenfield, between Township Road 361 (Hull Road) and T.R. 360B (Titus Road).

The closure will go into effect at approximately 8 a.m. August 13 and continue until 4 p.m. Friday, August 17, or until all work is completed. While the route is closed, motorists will be detoured by way of  S.R. 771, S.R. 28 at Leesburg and S.R. 753 at Greenfield.
