A culvert replacement project on state Route 124 will require closure of the route for four days next week.

On Monday, May 21, crews from the Ohio Department of Transportation’s Highland County Highway Maintenance Facility will close S.R. 124 West to replace a deteriorated pipe located at the 8.67-mile marker. The project site is situated between Township Road 278 (Fenner Road) and Maple Run Drive near the Hillsboro corporation limit.

Closure of the route will go into effect at 8 a.m. Monday and continue until approximately 4 p.m. Thursday, May 24, or until all work is completed. Completion of the project will be contingent upon the weather.

Throughout the week, motorists will be detoured by way of U.S. 50 West, Fenner Road and S.R. 124.
