Report: Rosenberger investigation may be linked to bribes

The Cincinnati Enquirer is reporting that former Ohio House speaker Cliff Rosenberger, R-Clarksville, is under federal investigation related to possible bribes, according to a subpoena and search warrant released to The Enquirer.

Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation were at the Clinton County home of Rosenberger on Wednesday, May 23.
According to reports, FBI officials were at Rosenberger’s residence on S.R Route 350 as well as at a storage facility at 761 South Nelson Avenue in Wilmington.
Rosenberger, a Clarksville Republican, had represented Highland County in the 91st House District until his resignation.
Rosenberger, 37, was serving his fourth term in the Ohio House of Representatives. He represented the 91st House District, which includes Highland, Clinton and Pike counties, and parts of Ross County.
Former Highland County commissioner Shane Wilkin defeated Clinton County Republican Beth Ellis in the GOP primary for Rosenberger's seat.
