Rep. Turner statement on Obamacare implementation delay
Washington, D.C. – Congressman Mike Turner (OH-10) has released the following statement after the Obama Administration announced a decision to delay the implementation of the employer health care mandate until 2015:
“This announcement proves what I have said all along about Obamacare – it is a flawed law which is nearly impossible to implement. Even in its earliest stages we have seen how this monstrosity has been a near total failure.
"Both in increased healthcare costs for Ohioans, and the reduction of hours for many workers, this is a law doing exactly the opposite of what we were all promised. We don’t need more delays and more red tape with the implementation of Obamacare. It must be repealed and replaced immediately.”

Following the Obama Administration announcement that the Affordable Care Act’s employer mandate would be delayed by one year, Representative Brad Wenstrup released this statement:
“President Obama is defying his own law by postponing the implementation of the employer mandate. It’s clear evidence of Obamacare’s looming failure. His decision, while good news for the moment, is merely a “stay of execution” for our economy and prolongs the uncertainty faced by employers.”
“It’s not a coincidence that the President wants to delay these terrible policies until after the 2014 elections to avoid the judgment of the American people.”
“We need to completely repeal Obamacare now, and replace it with patient-centered reforms that actually improve healthcare in America.”
Background: On July 2, 2013, the Obama Administration announced that the employer mandate to offer health insurance coverage to their full-time employees within the Affordable Care Act will not take effect until January 2015. The announcement cited the complexity of reporting requirements as the reason for delaying their implementation.
