OVI checkpoint by Hamilton OSHP Post nets zero arrests

HAMILTON – The Hamilton Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, with assistance from the Ohio Department of Transportation, conducted an OVI checkpoint on state Route 122 (Roosevelt Boulevard) in the city of Middletown, Butler County on August 13, from 9-11 p.m. 

A total of 249 vehicles were checked; zero of those vehicles were diverted to the testing area for suspicion of OVI. A saturation patrol of the surrounding area, conducted in conjunction with the checkpoint, resulted in 0 impaired motorists being arrested for OVI. 

Federal grant money supported the OVI checkpoint and saturation patrols.
